Nestled beneath the historic Broughty Castle in the former fishing village of Broughty Ferry, this spacious, award-winning sandy beach is the perfect destination for a relaxing family day out. Located at the mouth of the Tay Estuary, the beach is flanked by dunes and offers lovely views across the Tay Estuary to the north coast of Fife.

Broughty Ferry Beach is home to a nature conservation site with a remarkable array of wildlife, including birds, seals, and even the occasional porpoise. During the summer months, windbreaks are available for hire, volleyball nets are erected, and a safe area for swimming is cordoned off.

Close by are various attractions, including Broughty Castle Museum, an excellent children’s play area, a rock garden, cafés, bars, shops, restaurants, and a local jet ski club. Visitors can also enjoy activities such as kayaking, jet-skiing, sailing, and windsurfing.
