Located on Dalhousie Road, the main route from Broughty Ferry to Monifieth, Parkside Vets Barnhill offers a full range of medical, surgical, and diagnostic services. Our spacious, air-conditioned building underwent a significant rebuild in 2014, featuring a free car park at the rear and on-street parking out front. Our catchment area includes West Ferry to Monifieth and beyond, with clients from Carnoustie and the surrounding area.
Vet Services
Acupuncture: Initial consultations take 30 minutes to take a full history, treat the animal, and discuss aspects of the case. Follow-up consultations are usually about 20 minutes. Acupuncture can help with painful conditions, respiratory problems, and behavioral issues.
Microchipping: A small device carrying a unique number is inserted under the skin of the scruff of the neck, allowing for easy identification of your pet.
Nurse Clinics: Our dedicated registered veterinary nurses (RVNs) advise on training, feeding, flea treatments, and worming. We offer daily nurse clinics for weight loss, nail clipping, and suture removal.
Pet Travel: Rules governing pet travel have changed. UK pet passports are no longer valid for travel into the EU. An Animal Health Certificate is now required for each trip.
Prescriptions: To order a repeat prescription, please call your local branch. Private prescriptions are available on request.
Senior Health Checks: We offer senior health checks to identify conditions early, which may otherwise progress to cause more serious issues.
Orthopaedic Referrals: Parkside vets Stuart Ashworth and Fraser Goldie have over 30 years of experience in orthopaedics and are recognized as advanced practitioners.
Soft-Tissue Referrals: Parkside vet Fraser Goldie specializes in soft tissue conditions, including wound management, hernia repair, and neoplasia.
