A Little Bit of History: The Royal Arch Bar is named after the Royal Arch monument built in Dundee during the 1840s to celebrate the visit of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in 1863. Though the monument was demolished in the 1960s to make way for the Tay Road Bridge, a fragment is on display at the bar. The Royal Arch is now owned by Jonathan and Alison Stewart, along with their son Jon and daughter Jenny.
Dining Experience: We offer an extensive menu catering to various tastes, from light snacks and healthy options to traditional fare and global favorites. Dine in our Art Deco-styled bar or our historical Tavern Bar, known for its authentic hand-carved solid oak gantry and bar dating back to 1849. Renowned for promoting fresh local produce, our menu ensures a delightful dining experience.

The Bar: The Royal Arch is acclaimed by CAMRA and Caskmarque for its quality and range of cask ales. Our bar features a wide range of malt whiskies (over 50), interesting wines including local Cairn o’ Mohr fruit wines, and a variety of coffees from our Brasilia espresso machine. We also have televisions for major sporting events and cater for private parties with our 1am license on Fridays & Saturdays.
Cuisine: From July 15, we offer hand-crafted, locally-inspired hot and cold snacks prepared daily. Our team, including Manager Sharon and Cook Michelle, are REHIS accredited for food safety. Enjoy food, refreshments, and a variety of cakes in our Lounge, Tavern Bar, or all-weather Pavement Café.
